Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to help you understand how learning works at ROAR.

Yes. Academic foundations remain a core part of the ROAR model.

Students study key subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science using internationally recognised curricula aligned to the Cambridge and Edexcel IGCSE pathways. Learning is structured, monitored, and supported to ensure students build the knowledge and discipline needed for further education.

Alongside academics, students also develop practical skills, confidence, and independence through applied learning experiences.

Students graduate with a combination of IGCSE qualifications in English, Maths, and Science; and an internationally recognised skills certification in Business or Creative Media.

During their study with us, students also build a portfolio of real-world projects demonstrating their capabilities.

This combination helps students progress confidently to further education or career pathways.

Traditional schools often follow a one-size-fits-all approach.

At ROAR, learning is personalised to each student’s pace, strengths, and goals. Students receive close guidance from educators, work on meaningful projects, and develop both academic knowledge and practical skills.

The goal is not just academic success, but readiness for life beyond school.

Yes.

Students graduate with 3 IGCSE credits and an internationally recognised skills qualification that are widely recognised by colleges, universities, and employers locally and internationally.

Students can progress to pre-university programmes or diplomas depending on their interests and goals.

Our team also provides guidance to help families plan the next steps after graduation.

ROAR is designed to support diverse learners.

Small class sizes allow educators to understand each student’s learning style, monitor progress closely, and provide targeted support when needed. Students also receive regular mentoring and structured check-ins to help them stay engaged and confident in their learning journey.

Structure is built into the daily routine.

Students follow a clear timetable, set goals, and receive regular feedback from educators. Expectations around attendance, effort, and behaviour are communicated clearly, and families are kept informed of student progress.

Personalisation does not mean less discipline. It means the right support and accountability.

At the lower secondary level, students build strong academic foundations while participating in Skills Exploration, an internal programme that allows them to explore different areas of interest.

Skills pathways are introduced gradually, giving students time to discover their strengths before making more focused choices.

Before entry into Year 10, students complete a formal checkpoint that includes an academic and career assessment, followed by a consultation with parents and students to ensure the chosen pathway is appropriate and well supported. This process helps us map the right pathway forward together with you and your child.

Student progress is monitored through a combination of:
  • Academic assessments
  • Project outcomes and portfolios
  • Regular feedback from educators
  • Ongoing communication with parents
This provides a fuller picture of each student’s growth, not just exam results.
